Task 11: Recommended tools for social media engagement. I would recommend Facebook and Instagram. Facebook is a formal site which libraries can use to share events, results and other nick naks while Instagram is an informal site which they can also share events, results and such but in a more creative way. Using Facebook and Instagram means that they are also connecting with a wide age range as Instagram is used more by younger people and Facebook by older people generally.

Task 6: How is my local public library using social media? My local library is part of a Shire called Sutherland Shire Libraries. Sutherland Shire Libraries has a Facebook, Vimeo, Twitter and Instagram. Twitter: https://twitter.com/suthlib They share random images, advertise events and videos. Instagram: https://instagram.com/sutherlandshirelibraries They share events, results of events and Q&A's.
